ABOUT ME
I'm a Senior Research Fellow at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research- Kolkata (IISER-K). My research interest greatly lies in understanding the parental care in free-ranging dogs in India. I am continuing my research by studying all possible interactions among mother, pups and other group members from two different aspects i.e. conflict and co-operation, under the supervison of Dr. Anindita Bhadra.
RESEARCH INTEREST
I am fond of studying wildlife biology having an opportunity to study animals in field. I am eager to continue my post PhD research with some other canids, specially wolves (Canis lupus) providing an opportunity to compare the behaviours among different species of the Genus- Canis.
Current research
Understanding parental care in free-ranging dogs in India
Study of cooperative and conflictive behaviours shown by the mother along with other group members toward the pups.
Hobbies-
Painting, Paper crafting, Embroidery, Reading fiction and non-fiction books, Nature photography.
